DP World Vancouver is the third largest marine terminal operator in the world, with over 60 terminals across six continents.
THE PROBLEM
DP World Vancouver’s current lighting system consisted of old metal halide fixtures, running at 347V. The fixtures had a high failure rate; and with the site running 24/7, site closures for maintenance were difficult to schedule and very costly.
THE SOLUTION
Radiance Energy replaced 100 metal halide fixtures with 30 watt IP65 LED fixtures. They installed an efficient control system that allowed the reefer towers to be dimmed then turned on with occupancy sensors and timers resulting in over 90% energy savings.
